Eight sailors showed up to race this year's Bill Full Cup in near perfect weather with Redd's typical shifty conditions.
The regatta was well organized and run thanks to Commodore White acting as PRO and his three scorers: Sue Martin,
Caroline Pisani, and Warren Bowes. All sailors could view their progress on the scoreboard which was kept up to date
by the volunteers, well done!
Lunch sandwich options were chosen by the competitors in the morning and made up by Betsy White who brought them pondside at noon.
Well done Betsy.
Thanks goes out to the competitors from the Minuteman Model Yacht Club and the Greater Worcester Model Yacht Club, they certainly brought
their A game as evidenced by the results.
Peter DeWolfe had steering issues with his boat and could not get it sorted well enough to allow him to compete for the win. Better luck next time Pete.
The club's loaner boats were a hit as the two Rolling Thunders were fast and in the mix all day ....
Of the boats sailed three were Traditional, one was a High Flyer, and four were Classics.
The cup was scheduled to be awarded to the High Flyers this year however Cliff Martin (only High Flyer) deferred (nice example of sportsmanship and went to the Classics.
Thirteen heats were sailed and there were two throwouts.
